Big 2009 AC Relay for Life finale is one week away! It's 12 hours of events starting at 6:00pm Friday, June 13, 2009, at Booster field. Chairman outlines evenings exciting events, gives more details with "Where the Money Goes" By Steven Baker, Chair, 2009 AC Relay for Life I wanted to get the word out that Relay for Life is coming up from Friday evening starting at 6:00pmCT on June 12, 2009 to 6amCT, Saturday, June 13, 2009, at the Booster Field, behind Colonel William Casey Elementary School, 220 John Adair Drive, off Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. We would like to invite everyone to come out, and show your support. We want to let everyone know that it's not just for people who are on a team, but its for everyone. We would love to have the whole community come out and fellowship with us. We will have food, fun, games, and other entertainment throughout the night. We are going to Celebrate the survivors. Remember the ones that have lost their battle. And Fight Back against cancer. Also alot of people are wondering what the American Cancer society does with the money. I have attached a file with some of the things that ACS supports with the money raised from Relay For Life. It's not all allotted out to individuals, but a lot of the medicine, and treatments they take were discovered from scientists funded by money from the ACS. I just wanted to clear some of that up. If you could put that on, that would be a big help for us. Also Columbia Magazine will be recognized as one of our sponsors for all the work that you have done for us throughout the year. Your website has been a tremendous asset to our community as a way for us to reach out to people nationwide. I have encouraged everyone to visit your website, and use it as a tool to promote whatever need they may have. Thank you for all that you do! This story was posted on 2009-06-06 07:59:29
