Obituary: Connie M. Sexton Rider, 53, dies in Ohio

Mrs. Rider has deep roots here. She was a member of prominent Western Adair County families. He was a member of the Outville Presbyterian Church and sang in the church choir.Her funeral and burial will be in Ohio.

Connie M. Sexton Rider, age 53, Pataskala, OH, passed away Sunday,May 3, 2009 at Ohio State University Medical Center.

The funeral service Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 1:00 P. M. at Hill Funeral Home, 220 S State ST, Westerville, OH, with Pastor M. Stephen Merold the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery.Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pmET at the funeral home.




She was the daughter of the late James A. Sexton, Sr.

She is survived by her mother Mabel Walker Sexton, and her loving husband of 21 years, Dave Rider and the following:

  • Two brothers: James A. Sexton and Steven W. Sexton and wife Shelley

  • Two sisters:
  • Dorothy Casteel & husband Chuck and Jeanette Sullivan
  • Six nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by her grandparents the late Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Walker and the late Mr. and Mrs. Olie Sexton of Adair CountyShe was further preceded in death by a nephew, Chad Casteel.

She was a member of Outville Presbyterian Church and a member of thechurch choir.
