Adair Co. Garden Club makes a difference on Christine Road today Eight members clean two miles of scenic stretch between showers Clicking on headline access complete story, photo By Barbara Armitage, Adair County Garden Club Garden Club members Vonnie Kolbenschlag, Angie Loy, Johnnie Biggs, Lila Loy, Ginger Swift, Dianne Loy, and Janet Najarian managed to clean two miles of Christine Road/KY 531 starting at Russell RD/KY 80 E between rain showers this morning Tuesday May 5, 2009. We would like to thank the residents and folks just passing through for their efforts to keep the roadside clean. Your work is not going unnoticed. Sadly to say there is a however to this, once the Garden Club members passed the homes the litter increased dramatically. This is a beautiful road, one which visitors to Adair County often take on their way to see the old log cabin church. Please be mindful of this and dispose of your trash properly. If you would like to make a difference in Adair County please contact Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979 for more information on joining the Adair County Garden Club.
