Adair Co. has been blessed with many excellent teachers About: Teachers who made a difference To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Adair County has certainly been blessed with many excellent teachers. As I reflect on my experiences as a student in the 50's and 60's in Columbia, I am reminded of the many wonderful teachers I had. I was fortunate to have Lorraine Miller, Lula Yates Dudley, Frances Stults, Iva Willis, Al and Mary Sullivan, Mary Richards, and Ruby Roach. I also think most highly of the ACHS principal at that time, Mr. Brooks Coomer. These are just of a few of the special people who left a lasting impression on me. Today, I am also a teacher. teach tomorrow's teachers and community leaders. I pray daily that I will leave a positive legacy with my students as have the teachers to whom I owe so much. May God bless each of them. s/Margaret Bault Varble This story was posted on 2009-05-04 19:46:19
