Second Project Graduation meeting Monday, May 4, at 6:00pmCT 20th Annual Project graduation is tentatively scheduled for May 22, 2009 following graduation, also tentatively planned for that date By Brenda Mann and Ellen Zornes The second Project Graduation planning meeting will be held Monday, May 4 at 6:00pmCT in the Adair County High Library, 1204 Greensburg Street Columbia, KY 42728. Project Graduation is an annual event held to honor our high school graduates. This is the twentieth year that juniors, seniors, and their invited guest will enjoy a safe, alcohol/drug free Project Graduation party following graduation. Graduation is currently scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2009. This event signifies the end of an era in these graduates' lives and is the last time for many of them to be together before embarking on their post high school lives. This memorable and entertaining event would not be possible without the collaborative efforts of community members, businesses, parents and educators. This special event sends a clear message to our students that we are proud of their hard work and accomplishments and that we care about their safety. In previous years your generosity has provided valuable prizes, cash, contests, games, food and fun. Since this event is supported through community funds, we once again are asking for your help to continue this worthwhile tradition for our students. Anyone interested in assisting with this event for our 2009 graduates is asked to attend this meeting or contact Ellen Zornes at (270) 384-3400 or Brenda Mann at (270) 384-5545. As always, we appreciate all our community does for our kids! This story was posted on 2009-05-02 09:07:28
