Bam contacts KHD, executive office on interchange safety Rep. Bam Carney is working to get changes at the dangerous KY 61 N/KY 55 Columbia Western Bypass. On Thursday, April 30, 2009, he contactd the Somerset office of the Kentucky Highway Department about the situation and received a promise that the KHD would look into it. "I also spoke to a gentleman in the executive office," Rep. Carney said. "He is going to try to help us." "I'm working with local officials here in Adair County. We are trying to make this area of the bypass safe for all," he added. Carney represents the 51st KY House District, Adair and Taylor Counties, in the Kentucky Assembly.
