By Dr. Greg Phelps, LWC Prof. of Communications

Lindsey Wilson students in COMM 3603, Intercultural Communication will present poster sessions at 2:00pmCT, Wednesday, April 29, 2009, recommending potential Sister Cities partnerships for Columbia/Adair County, from which they hope to have provided enough information for Columbia, KY, to choose to 1) participate in Sister Cities International and 2) partner with one of the seven cities the students have studied. They are:
  • Dikilitas, Turkey
  • Dolcedo, Italy
  • Georgetown, Bahamas
  • Kizlyar, Russia
  • Meppen, Germany
  • Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico
  • Upper Hutt (Orongomai), New Zealand
The project will be presented to the public starting at 2:00pmCT, Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in Slider Humanities Recital Hall on the Lindsey Wilson College main campus, Columbia, KY. Refreshments will be provided. Please drop by to view the posters and discuss the projects with the students, who have worked very hard on them throughout the semester. There is no charge to attend. Everyone is welcome.
