Plant swap is May 9, 2009, at Giles House

By Clara Metzmeier

There will be a plant swap or plant exchange sponsored by the Giles Society, from 11:00amCT to 1pmCT, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at the Giles House, on Spout Springs Road, off Elkhorn Road, Knifley, KY.

A plant swap or plant exchange is for all people who love to garden. It is an opportunity for gardeners to get together to swap plants and garden stories. It is a fun time.

This time of the year flower gardens are being cleaned up and many plants need to be thinned out. Bring unwanted plants labeled and potted in a peat pot or clay or plastic pot or even a cottage cheese container. You swap your plants for new plants for your garden.

For more information call Clara Metzmeier at (270)465-6104 or email claram@kyol.net. -Submitted by Sue Stivers, Executive Director, Columbia-Adair County Tourism Commission.
