OBITUARY: Nellie Mae Creason Marr, 90, Greensburg, KY






NELLIE MAE CREASON MARR
November 26, 1918 - April 18, 2009











The funeral services for Nellie Mae Creason Marr, 90 will be conducted at 10:00amCT, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Irvin Milby, Jr. will be officiating.



Nellie Mae Creason Marr of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Jake Creason and Flora McCubbins Creason, was born on November 26, 1918 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill. She was 90 years, four months and 23 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Marshall "Mutt" Marr in 1940 who preceded her in death on April 29, 2002.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter: Bonnie French, Summersville, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters-in-law: Arthur and Doris Jean Creason, Summersville, KY; and Alton and Nettie Creason, Greensburg, KY

  • A sister: Lottie Marr of Summersville, KY

  • A special nephew: Gene Vaughn, Greensburg, KY
  • Seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Wanda Jean Marr; a sister: Dorsey Lee; and three brothers: Rollin Creason, Carl Creason and Clovis Creason.

PALLBEARERS: Larry Creason, Barry Marr, Marion Walker, Elbert Shirley, Calvin Creason, and Ellis Creason.
