City collected 87 bags of trash; 261 volunteers sign up City Clean-ups continue throughout the month Click on headline for story plus photo By Rhonda Loy, City of Columbia Events Planner We had a great time and made a lot of progress in keeping the city streets clean. We had a total of 60 volunteers picking up a total of 87 bags of trash on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Since April is Pride Month we are able to schedule groups throughout the month that cannot participate on clean up day. Currently we have several groups and a total of 261 volunteers signed up for cleanups throughout the month.
