Lillie Wright, 84, of the Cundiff Community, Adair Co., KY

Mrs. Wright was a member of a large, respected South Adair County family. She was retired from Oshkosh B'Gosh and attended Melson Ridge Separate Baptist Church

Lillie Wright, 84, of 2615 Melson Ridge Road, Columbia, KY, in the Cundiff Community of Adair County, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 6:16 AM at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson a Bro. Buford Hadley the officiating clergy. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Monday, April 13, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



She was born March 30, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Cleo Grant Wooldridge of Adair Co. KY.

She was the widow of Owen Wright who preceded her in death on July 27, 1996. She was also preceded in death by one son, Edward Wright in 1993 and a grandson Bradley Shane Bradshaw in 1973 and by these siblings, Eugene Wooldridge,Pauline Aaron, Alvin Wooldridge.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three daughters: Pat Hare and husband Joe of Columbia, KY; Shirley Brock of Columbia, KY; and Joyce Bradshaw and husband Bradley of Glens Fork, KY

  • One sister: Marie Blair of Louisville, KY
  • Six grandchildren: Vickie Hanley, Cindi Alexander, Jeff Pike, Cathy Akin, Susan Roberts, and Darren Bradshaw

  • Eight great grandchildren: Brian Alexander, Tabatha Hanley, Shauna Akin,Lindsey Roberts, Kalee Roberts, Evan Pike, Kami Pike, and Shelby Bradshaw

  • Also by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends
Mrs. Wright attended the Melson Ridge Community Separate Baptist Church. She was retired from Oshkosh in Columbia, KY and was a homemaker.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
