Obituary: Joyce Robertson Loy, 74, Adair Co, KY native

Mrs. Loy was a member of Okolona Christian Church. She was a member of a large, prominent Adiar County family. Her husband of 51 years, Donald Loy, survives

Joyce Robertson Loy, 74 years passed away in Louisville, KY, on Saturday April 4, 2009. A native of Adair County, KY, she had resided in Louisville, KY, for the past 40 years.

The funeral service is Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1:00 P. M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQuearyFuneral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Hugh Withers the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 11:00amCT, on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at the funeral home.



She was a 39 year member of Okolona Christian Church.

She was born January 24, 1935, the daughter of the late Clarice and Hollis Robertson.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 51 years, Donald Loy, and the following:
  • Her son: Victor Loy, Jacksonville, AR

  • Her daughters: Marsha Reddick (Tex), Columbia, KY, Teresa Loy, Tucson, AZ;Karen Lea (Ted), Shelbyville, KY

  • One grandson: Terrence Allen Lea III, one step-granddaughter Bess ReddickStandley (Brandon) whose children are Evan, Owen and Reagan

  • Her brothers: Howard Robertson (Netta), Jerry Robertson(Phyllis) and Michael Robertson (Thelma), all of Columbia, KY

  • Her sisters: Shirley England (Charles), Faye Coomer (Dalton) and Brenda Bennett (Jimmy)all of Columbia, KY

  • Brother-in-laws: Clifford Loy (Phyllis), Billie Loy (Ellen), Charles Loy (Linda) andKenneth Loy (Deanna)

  • Sister-in-laws: Joyce Hoots (Gene), Bobbie Jones (Randall) and Nellie Wilson

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
