Obituary: H.W. Stotts, 74, Columbia, KY

Mr. Stotts was a member of a large, respected South Adair County Family. He was a member of Wells Chapel Baptist Church and attended Pierce Chapel Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired computer programmer

H. W. Stotts age 74 years of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly at his home, Sunday April 29, 2009.

The funeral service, Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William Karnes and Rev. David Karnes the officiating clergy. Interment in the Fudge Cemetery at Breeding, KY. The family requests visiting after 2:30pmCT, Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

He was born August 5, 1934, the son of the late Noah and Myrtie Walker Stotts of Adair County, KY.

Survived by one son: Larry Stotts and wife Chris, Justice, IL, and the following:
  • One sister: Connie Cowan, Columbia, KY

  • Two grand daughters: Lisa & Amy Stotts of Illinois

  • Two nephews: Brian Cowan and Doug Cowan, Columbia, KY

  • A special friend: Mildred Loy of Fairplay, KY
  • He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Stotts in 2008 and by a grandson, Kyle Stotts.

    Mr. Stotts was a member of the Wells Chapel Baptist Church and attended Pierce Chapel Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran and was a retired computer programmer.
