A warm memory: Mabel Blankenship, the healing woman About:"Mabel Blankenship had a gift for healing" To ColumbiaMagazine.com To hear this story about Mabel (Blankenship) warms my heart. I can remember being at her house lots of times when I was a child. She helped my mother make quilts. She was always the same friendly lady every time I was there and I still think about her today. I lost my mom to cancer in 1989, But I still remember how we were raised hard just like Mabel's kids were. And for that we should be eternally grateful for having that kind of mothers. s/Steven Wilson Son of the late Ruby Wilson of Columbia, KY This story was posted on 2009-03-29 01:10:11
