LWC, CU to participate in Somerset CC Transfer Day April 9, 2009 Sixteen (16) four-year colleges and universities, including Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY; and Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY, will be on hand at Somerset Community College on Thursday, April 9, 2009 for College Transfer Day. Students at SCC or community members, who are interested in obtaining information about furthering their education, are invited to attend SCC Transfer Day. SCC College Transfer Day will be held in the Harold Rogers Student Commons located on the SCC Somerset Campus North, 808 Monticello ST, Somerset, KY, from 10amET to 2:00pmET. Colleges and universities participating in the event are Lindsey Wilson College, Campbellsville University, University of Kentucky, Western Kentucky University, University of Louisville, Union College, Midway College, University of the Cumberlands, Thomas More College, Indiana Wesleyan University, L, Northern Kentucky University, Eastern Kentucky University, Georgetown College, Morehead State University, and Metropolitan College/UPS. Roger Hollars, SCC associate professor and counseling coordinator, said, "This is a great opportunity for SCC students or anyone interested in enrolling in a four-year college or university to talk to the admissions and financial aid counselors from some of the region's top colleges." "One important advantage Somerset Community College and the other 15 Kentucky Community and Technical Colleges that make up KCTCS is that when a student successfully completes one of our academic courses, he or she can rest assured that the course will transfer to any Kentucky public university," Hollars continued.
