Obituary: Frank Pocchio, 69, Glensfork, KY

Mr. Pocchio, a native of New York, was a retired telecommunications engineer. He attended Glensfork Methodist Church. Visitation will be in Columbia. Funeral mass and interment in Florida

Frank Pocchio age 69 years of 1467 Hwy 900 Glensfork, KY formerly of Coral Springs, Florida passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:39 A.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia. KY.

The funeral mass will be Monday March 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Pompano Beach, FL, with Father Tony Muldary the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL. Local visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2009 from 10:00am until 2:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Visiting will be Sunday, March 22, 2009, from 2:00pmET until 4:00pmET & 7:00am until 9:00amET at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home 7001 Northwest Fourth Street, Plantation, FL. 33317.



He was born February 26, 1940, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Furtano Pocchio of New York.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Barker Pocchio of Glensfork, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Dennis Pocchio, Plantation, FL; and John Pocchio, Ball Ground, GA

  • Two daughters: Jennifer Miner, Nashville, TN; and Dianna Grider, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Joseph Pocchio, Morches, NY

  • Five sisters: Paula Tomasello, Malverne, NY; Ann Scire, Malverne, NY; Margo Piro, Malverne, NY, and Carol Digiori, Melerose, NY
  • Six grandchildren: Kinsey Pocchio, Madisyn Pocchio, Trevor Brumley, Paige Held, Anthony Pitcock, and Jesse Grider
He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Pocchio in 2005; and by one sister, Jean Rathje.Mr. Pocchio was a retired telecommunications engineer for Bell South Telephone Company for 30 years in Florida. He attended the Glensfork Methodist Church.Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
