Looking Ahead 2009: Would not touch Wet/Moist or Politics

Musings of an politically incorrect Electrician, who has had too much bad news lately.
About: For remaining dry for civil discourse

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

Some issues like a Columbia wet-moist/dry vote, and national politics are best left alone.

I wouldn't touch either topic with a 30' pole.

It does however seem odd, if not obvious that two topics have emerged as of late on CM. The first being the fact that New Yorkers and Californians voted for, and elected a person other than the choice of main stream Kentuckians (including ADAIR COUNTY).

The Second topic that has arose since that time is that Adair County folks now feel the need to buy and openly consume more alcohol, not in celebration I might add.

Yes, I think these two topics are connected. The other day a Church going, non-drinking family man told me this, "Chris, with the stock market in the shape its in, and Obama as President, I am going to start investing in liquor companies, that is where people's money will be going".

s/Chris Bennett

Thanks. We understand your position. But what issues can be touched with a shorter pole? An adequate financing of our schools? The library facility we need? The merger of the city and county governments? Merger of the utilities? How to make economic development work> Government financed concert fiascos? Adair County's illicit drug sales? Adair County's illicit alcohol sales? Just wondering. -EWHere are some related links:Use the Contact/Submit Button at the end of the suggested survey topics to send your opinions.
