Kentucky's jobless rate up slightly in November 2008 From Commonwealth News Center FRANKFORT, KY (December 22, 2008) - Kentucky's seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate for November 2008 rose to 7 percent from October 2008's revised 6.8 percent, according to the Office of Employment and Training (OET), an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet. November 2007's jobless rate was 5.1 percent. The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate increased from 6.5 percent in October 2008 to 6.7 percent in November 2008, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
