Feedback: ACHS Band members are CHAMPIONS! To ColumbiaMagazine.com We have been so proud and thankful to be part of the Adair County Marching band family. And we are just as proud, if not more so, after this weekend. To the seniors, for the past four years, you have devoted a large part of your life to the Adair band. We have no doubt you are so much better off today and better prepared for life because of it. The steps you have taken - first, making the decision to be part of this program and then working so hard, being dedicated and committed to a standard of excellence, teamwork, developing leadership skills, hours and hours of practice, weekend competitions, state competitions and national competitions - have made you what you are today - CHAMPIONS! These steps may not have led you to a fourth state championship trophy (but so close); however, you were champions when you walked off the field from your final performance. Continue to hold yourself to this standard of excellence in whatever you do and you will be champions in life. You may not always come out in first place but with these standards you will always be winners and you will make our world a better place to be. We love you and you will always be number one with us! Thank you, Mr. Allen and Mr. Emerson, for always having high expectations and accepting nothing but the best from these students. The journey that you have taken them on the past four years will help them be successful the rest of their lives and that is worth much more than a trophy could ever give them. Yes, it was definitely worth it! s/Rick and Sandy Wilson This story was posted on 2008-11-04 20:12:44
