ACFD hit with two fire runs at same time Wednesday

One in Sano community, second on Burton Garmon Road

The Adair County Fire Department responded to two separate fires on Monday afternoon around 3:15pmCT.

The first was in the Sano Community with a hay roller and and 1/2 acre of grass to be destroyed by fire.

The second alarm was around the same time. It was on the Burton Garmon Road with about 1 acre of land to burn. There was around 11 firemen at both fires. They were on the scene of both runs for around 45 minutes.

THIS FIELD FIRE on Burton Garmon Road burned approximately one acre of grassland yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, October 29, 2008. It was the second call of the afternoon for the firefighters.
