Obituary: Obie Coomer, 91 Mr. Coomer was a member of a respected Adair County family, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and had retired after a career as a plant manager in Chicago Obie Coomer, 91, Rice Drive, Columbia, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at 12:30pmCT, at Campbellsville Retirement Home in Campbellsville, KY. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 30, 2008, at 9:30amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Harold Coomer the officiatiing clergy. He was born February 28, 1917, the son of the late Lonnie and Kate Stevens Coomer of Adair County. He was preceded in death by his wife Lula Coomer. He later married Maxine Coomer who also preceded him in death. He is survived by the following:
Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, from 5:00pm-7pmCT and after 6:00amCT until the time of the service, Thursday morning, October 30, 2008.
