Bank Robbery 2008 re-enactment album Watch for photo additions throughout the day The 2008 re-enactment of the Robbery of the Bank of Columbia, the highlight of Downtown Days, came off perfection at high noon on a gorgeus fall day in downtown Columbia. The crowd, estimated by the originator of the event, Charles Grimsley, at over 600, is believed to have been the biggest ever to see the re-enactment. The narrative for the event, a classic outdoor mini-drama, was written by Columbia's Stanley Lawson. Lawson is also CEO of Guntown Mountain in Cave City, KY. Several regular CM photographers took photos from different points on the Square. We hope others spending Sunday with CM will send comments, annecdotes, corrections, and photographs to add to the album and the account of this perfect day in Columbia, KY.
