LWC men's golf wins the Jack Shadwick Invitational

Raiders in Don Bishop Invitational at Campellsville CC Thursday, Friday

SENECA, SC--The Lindsey Wilson College men's golf team won their second tournament of the season Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at the Jack Shadwick Invitational hosted by Southern Wesleyan University.

The Blue Raiders shot a two-day total of 601 (297-304) to win by one stroke at Cross Creek Plantation.

University of the Cumberlands (KY) finished second with a team total of 602 (302-300). Southern Wesleyan rounded out the top three with a two-day total of 604 (307-297).




The Lindsey Wilson trio of senior Abraham Gali (72-79), freshman Nicolas Navarro (73-78) and sophomore Joe Hood (75-76) all tied for seventh, shooting a 151 for the tournament.

A pair of Blue Raiders tied for 16th as junior Travis Radford (77-75) and senior Carlos Navarro (77-75) both shot a 152.

Lindsey Wilson men's golf returns to action on October 2-3, 2008, as the Blue Raiders travel to the Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club in Campbellsville, KY.
