Obituary: Sarah Reliford, 87 COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES Mrs. Reliford was a member of a respected South Adair County family. She was retired from Union Underwear in Campbellsville, KY, and was a homemaker. Sarah Reliford, 87, 5332 Sparksville Road, Columbia, KY (the Sparksville Community) passed away Friday, September 26, 2008, at 10:10amCT, at the Taylor Regional Hospital, after an illness. The funeral service will be Sunday, September 28, 2008, at 3:30pm, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Bunch the officiating clergy. She was born February 28, 1921, the daughter of Ben Francis and Amanda Frances Harvey Darnell of Adair County. She was the widow of Art Reliford, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1975. She is survived by the following:
Mrs. Reliford was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie Carol Burkhead, on January 9, 1998, and by two grandchildren, Robin Dykes and Shawn Reliford, and by one brother, Denver Darnell. Mrs. Reliford was retired from Union Underwear in Campbellsville, KY, and was a homemaker. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Sparksville, KY. The family requests visiting after 3:30pm Saturday afternoon at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
