Adair County Marching Band at Eastern High School today Director Tim Allen's 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Parade bound marching band will be competing for its third consecutive Grand Championship this season The Adair County High School Marching Band is scheduled to gather at the band room at 7:30am this morning to prepare for an 8:30am departure to compete in this afternoon's Eastern High School Eagle Classic in the Middletown area of Louisville, KY. The Adair County Marching Band will be the third band to compete Opening ceremonies will be at 1:15pmCT/2:15ET, followed by performances by Lexington Christian Academy (A), and North Oldham (AAA). Adair County will perform at 2:00pmCT/3:00pmET. Other bands in the event are South Oldham (AAAA), Seneca (AAAAA), Shelby County (AAAAA), Henry County (AA) and Washington County (AA). Preliminary awards will be announced at 3:45pmCT/4:45pmET. Finals awards will be at 8:15pmET/9:15CT. The band is expected to be back in Columbia at 11:45pmCT. The band is under the Direction of TIm Allen. Matt Emerson is the assistant director. So far this season, Adair County has been Grand Champion of both the Caverna Marching Band Festival at Horse Cave, KY, and South Central Marching Band Classic at Glasgow, KY.
