Campbellsville University Homecoming Schedule Oct. 3 & 4 2008




CAMPBELLSVILLE UNIVERSITY HOMECOMING 2008
October 3 & 4, 2008 - Back to the Future
All times are Eastern Time (ET)

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2008:
  • 10am: 1958 Graduates Breakfast
    at Betty Dobbins Heilman House. All members of the Campbellsville College Class of 1958 are invited to attend a breakfast at the Presidents home.

  • Noon: Golden Heritage Luncheon and Reunion Class of 1958
    Winters Dining Hall. ($10 per person; reservations are due by September 26) All members of the Campbellsville College Class of 1958, as well as members of the Golden Heritage Club, are invited to attend the Golden Heritage Luncheon. For reservations, call the Office of Alumni Relations at (270) 789-5211.

  • 2pm, 3:30pm. and 5pm: Campus Tours for Alumni and Friends
    Student Welcome Center.Student-led tours of the CU campus begin at the Student Welcome Center and will feature the new Gosser Gymnasium, Ransdell Chapel and other additions and improvements to CU

  • 4:30pm to 6pm: Homecoming BBQ
    Stapp Lawn.($7 per person -- reservations are due by Sept. 26)Come join the CU family for food, fellowship and fun!

  • 6:30pm to 8:30pm: Homecoming Banquet
    E. Bruce Heilman Student Complex, Winters Dining Hall.($20 per person, $30 per couple; $5 for children -- reservations are due by Sept. 26)Featuring guest speaker and magician David Garrard. Garrard has been speaking and entertaining with magic for more than 40 years. His unique mix of magic and music has made him popular with audiences throughout the United States. All alumni and their families are invited to attend. Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (270) 789-5211 for reservations

  • 6:30pm to 9pm: Corn toss Tournament
    Stapp Lawn/Students and alumni are invited to face off in this game following the BBQ. Contact Andrew Ward for more information at (270) 789-5161

  • 7pm: University Theater Production 43 Plays For 43 Presidents.
    University Theater.For tickets and play details, contact Erica Moon at (270) 789-5266.

  • 9pm: Homecoming Pep Rally
    Stapp LawnCome meet the new coaching staff at CU and head coach Perry Thomas 2008-2009 Tiger Football Team. Lets Restore the Roar and show the team how much we support them!

  • 9:30pm: Movie on the Lawn
    Stapp Lawn.Stick around after the pep rally and enjoy the feature movie, Back to the Future. This promises to be a good time for the whole family!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2008
  • 8:30am to10am: Pancake Breakfast and Department Reunions
    E. Bruce Heilman Student Complex, Winters Dining Hall.($3 per person reservations are due by Sept. 26)Visit with your former professors and enjoy plentiful food; a great way to begin your day!

  • 9am. to 2pm: Homecoming Car/Motorcycle Show
    Montgomery Library Lawn.To participate in this annual event, contact Stan McKinney at (270) 789-5035.

  • 9:30am: Motorcycle Ride
    Montgomery Library Lawn.Come tour the countryside of Campbellsville. Also, participate in the parade. For more information, contact Ed Pavy at (270) 789-5227.

  • 9:30:30am: Cheerleading Reunion
    Powell Athletic Center, Room 201.Come and meet Coach Vanessa Adkins 2007 MSC Championship team and visit with former teammates.

  • 10am: Bethel College Class Reunion
    Administration Building, Room 15.10 a.m. Alumni Art Exhibit featuring Robby Hayden, Class of 2001Art Gallery

  • 10am: School of Business and Economics Reunion

  • 10am: Alumni Baseball Reunion and Scrimmage

  • 10am: Wrestling Practice
    Gosser Gymnasium.Come see our newest athletic facility and watch our nationally-ranked wrestling team practice coached by Franky James

  • 10:30am: Lady Tiger Basketball Maroon/Gray Scrimmage
    Powell Athletic Center.Coach Ginger Colvins Lady Tigers will show off their up and coming talent for the 2008-2009 season

  • 10:30am: Veterans Reunion
    Student Union Building, Little Auditorium.If you are an alumus or friend of CU who has served your country by serving in the military, we want to thank you! Bring your family and join us for this special reunion

  • 11:3am: Homecoming Parade
    Downtown CampbellsvilleNoon Tiger Basketball Maroon/Gray ScrimmagePowell Athletic Center.See Coach Keith Adkins Fab Four NAIA Nationals team compete in this annual scrimmage

  • Noon to 1:30pm: Homecoming Festival
    Stapp Lawn.Join us for food, fun and activities before the big game

  • Noon to 1:30pm: Reunion Tent
    Stapp Lawn.Alumni who graduated in 63, 68, 73, 78, 83, 88, 93, 98, 03, 08, and their families are invited to the Reunion Tent during the festival to enjoy food and fun and to reconnect with former classmates

  • 12:30pm to 1:30pm: Baptist Campus Ministry Reunion

  • 12:30pm: School of Education Reunion

    Finley Stadium.Come support the Fighting Tiger Football Team as they take on Shorter College and Restore the Roar under the leadership of Coach Perry Thomas and his staff

  • 4pm: Lady Tiger Volleyball vs. West Virginia Tech
    Powell Athletic Center.Coach Randy LeBleus nationally-ranked volleyball team will face off against West Virginia Tech in a double-header

  • 5:30pm: Houseboat Party and Reunion for School of Theology Alumni
