Patty Bunch to compete in Renfro Valley Music Talent contest Special to ColumbiaMagazine.com Patty Bunch, Glens Fork, Kentucky, has been invited to compete in the Gospel Music Talent contest for singer/songwriters, held by Renfro Valley Music Park at Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, October 5, 2008. The event will be held outdoors in Festival Field with vocalist from several states competing for prizes of cash, trophies, recording packages, and guest appearances on the main stage at Renfro Valley. Patty, who was a member of Joint Heirs, a gospel group consisting of her niece Jennifer Warren Coffey, and Jennifer's Dad, Larry Warren, won this contest in 2005. They sang a song written by Patty "By Grace Through Faith."Jennifer is now in Heaven singing a new song, and Patty is going to this contest alone this year. She will be singing another of her own compositions, "Armor of God." Patty says, "This time when I sing my thoughts will be on Jennifer and how much I long to sing with her. That was the best singing experience of my life; she had a mountain of a voice and I miss her and think of her every day." She added, "My performance will be in her memory and for the glory of God, nothing more. It's always nice to be named a winner, but I'm already a winner; just to receive this invitation to come sing at Renfro Valley." This story was posted on 2008-09-23 09:20:19
