Retiring LWC VP Ron Heath honored for higher education service By Duane Bonifer More than three dozen members of the Lindsey Wilson College and Columbia-Adair County communities turned out Thursday afternoon at the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center to honor Ron Heath for more than three decades of service in higher education. Heath, who has been Lindsey Wilson vice president for advancement for more than three year, officially retired on Thursday, August 28, 2008. During his tenure at Lindsey Wilson, Heath oversaw the college's advancement programs - which include alumni relations, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, development, gift planning and public relations, and helped shepherd the college's $53 million "Changing Lives Campaign." In appreciation for his service to the college, the Lindsey Wilson community presented Heath with a Lindsey Wilson Retirement Rocking Chair. Heath and his wife, Ginny, plan to remain in Adair County.
