LWC faculty, community gear up to welcome students Freshman residents arrive in Columbia and on campus Saturday, August 16, 2008 Lindsey Wilson College faculty returned to campus this week to prepare for the opening of the 2008-09 school year. Community wide, Columbia businesses, churches, and other institutions are getting set to welcome back the students and faculty, whose presence swells the number of people in the city a an estimated 5,000 plus. Freshmen residential students will arrive on campus on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Returning residential students move into residence halls on Tuesday. August 19, 2008.
