The crop in the photographer's backyard is, he says, "The best he's ever had," and the taste is excellent, eaten right off the tree or converted into a gourmet Kentucky dessert, fresh peach cobbler. Makes you wonder why all our yard trees don't bear fruit or nuts, why all our shrubbery isn't berry fines, why all our low decorative plantings aren't strawberries, tomatoes, or herbs; and why so much grass?
