CU receives $12,500 gift from Taylor County Bank

Campbellsville University has received a gift in the amount of $12,500 from Taylor County Bank, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, President. The gift specified an allocation of $10,000 to the Ransdell Chapel and $2,500 to the Big Maroon Club corporate sponsorship.

TCB has given $20,000 of their ongoing $38,500 pledge for the Ransdell Chapel, and they have given $7,500 of their $12,500 pledge for to the Big Maroon Club corporate sponsorship.


"We're very thankful for Taylor County Bank's support of Campbellsville University," President Carter said. "It is helping to pave the way for development of servant leaders in Christian higher education." Listed in U.S.News & World Report's 2008 "America's Best Colleges," CU is ranked 22nd in "Best Baccalaureate Colleges" in the South and eighth in the South for "Great Schools, Great Prices." CU has been ranked 15 consecutive years with U.S.News & World Report. The university has also been named to America's Best Christian Colleges(R). Campbellsville University is located 82 miles southwest of Lexington, Ky., and 80 miles southeast of Louisville, Ky. Dr. Michael V. Carter is in his tenth year as president.

Miller, III visited Campbellsville University last week to present CU President Dr. Michael Carter and vice president for development Benji Kelly with a gift of support.
