Columbia Fire Dept responds to 2 fire alarms over weekend By Donald Hare, Public Affairs Officer, Columbia Fire Dept. Special ColumbiaMagazine.com story False alarm Saturday at Richardson Hall The first was Saturday night around 11:00pmCT to Richardson Hall on LWC campus, upon firefighters arrival and after a search of the building, determined that it was a false alarm. There were 15 firemen on the scene for around 15 minutes. Office equipment may have caused alarm at IMO The second was Sunday afternoon around 5:00 P.M. to IMO industries, upon arrival noted a smell of smoke possibly from office equipment, There were 11 firemen on the scene for 25 minutes.
