"Ol' Fogies" spokesperson Barbara Armitage replied to a request for membership from a reader: "If you or your friends would like to join us for some of the"Ol' Fogies" adventures you are more than welcome," she wrote. "There are very stiff entrance requirements however. You must be old butnot act old. Women are required to look awful in a bathing suit and menshould have a suitable amount of hair growing out of their ears," she said. The rest of her message is now past tense (the letter was written July 2, 2008, but it does indicate We are gathering tonight for dinner and reminiscing about last week's trip," but there is another expedition planned to GRL. "We have a power boat lake trip planned in a couple of weeks, Green River Lake, swimming, tubing and such," which is as much a warning to fishermen, swimmer, and serious lakecraft operators and occupants as it is an invitation to be forewarned, the Ol' Fogies are at large again. The Right Honorable Society of Old Fogies Paddling, Drinking and Debating Society includes, alphabetically, at this time, Barbara Armitage and Wayne Armitage, Nancy Cozby, Jerry Holt, Rose Joynt, Stuart Joynt, Sally Keith, Steve Keith.
