From now until Primary election day, Tuesday, May 20, 2008, the office will be open regular hours 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, plus special hours 8:00am-12:00noonCT on Saturdays.

Columbian Christopher Rowe makes news in Lexington, KY

If you get a chance to pick up a Lexington Herald today, Thursday, May 8, 2008, you'll find a big story on Adair County native Chris Rowe and a new bicycle borrowing program is operating in downtown Lexington. An article by Tom Eblen on the front page of the City/Region section, and includes three photos of Christopher Rowe. The program allows borrows to buy a $10 ID card, get a key, and borrow a bike for up to three hours. Chris Rowe has been living in Lexington since 2002, but he remains well known to Adair Countians for his scholarship, his contribution to Adair County's first state championship Academic Team, and for his successful short story and fantasy writing career, which adds to the luster of Adair County's great literary tradition.Click here for story, "Herding yellow bikes'Wrangler' Christopher Rowe cycles for fun and profit" by Tom Eblenin the Lexington Herald-Leader online.
