Obituary: Opal Royse, 76, dies in Louisville

She was a member of a respected South Adair Family

Opal Royse, 76, a resident of Regency Rehab & Nursing Center in Louisville, KY, formerly of Breeding, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 3:30am at Regency Rehab & Nursing Center in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service is Friday, April 18, 2008, at 10:00am, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, with Bro. Truman Geralds officiating.



She was born January 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Arthur and Dollie Loy Royse of Adair County.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Clarice Stotts.

She is survived by the following:
  • Nephews and nieces: Russell Stotts and his wife Ann, Louisville, KY; Glenn Stotts and his wife Ann, Goodletsville, TN; Theron Stotts and his wife Sadie Stotts, Breeding, KY; and Carolyn Denny of Breeding, KY

  • Special nephews and niece: Frankie Williams and his wife, Janet, IL; George Elliott and his wife Denise, Warrior, AL; and Lynn Edeus and her husband Tom of IL

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She was a retired factory worker.

Interment will be in the Estes-McKinney Cemetery at Breeding, KY.

Visitation will be after 12:30pm, Thursday, April 17, 2008.
