Businesses and individuals are really getting behind the Saturday, April 12, 2008, Adair County PRIDE Clean Up Day and Picnic to follow at the Mt. Carmel Boat Ramp.

"It's going to be a day nobody will forget," County Judge Executive Ann Melton said, adding, "The response from everybody has been overwhelming."

Businesses are giving everything from caps and t-shirts to flashlights, gift cards, and cash, Lisa Lee, the CJE Administrative Assistant said.

"The media is really getting behind the event," Lee said. "Lisa Fisher is doing a live remote on her own to promote the event, and the papers, the radio stations and ColumbiaMagazine.com are all keeping the public informed."

The list of those contributing prizes, in-kind services, and cash stood at 33 on Thursday, at 1:45pmCT.

The County plans to have t-shirts available for everyone who works on Saturday.

Those who would like to add their names to the list should call the County Judge Executive's office at (270) 384-4703.
