Adair Co. native Harold McKinney sworn in today as Boyle Co. CJE

Adair County native Harold McKinney, was sworn in today, Tuesday, Apri1 1, 2008, at 9:00amET, as Boyle County Judge Executive, in ceremonies in Danville, KY.

Judge Executive McKinney was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear following the resignation of longtime judge Tony Wilder, who resigned to join the Beshear administration as Commissioner of the Governor's Office of Local Development (GOLD) in Frankfort, KY.

Judge McKinney graduated from Adair County High School, Centre College and has a law degree from the University of Kentucky.



He has most recently been serving as Assistant County Attorney in Boyle County.

He was joined in the swearing in by his wife, Carol, and grandson, James Paul Tucker.

Chief District Judge Jeff Dotson, District 50, Division 02, Boyle and Mercer County, officiated.

In the audience was a large contingent of Harold's family who were in the Boyle Circuit Court. Family members present included Donald and Bobbi McKinney, Juanita McKinney Scott, Ruby Roach, Paul James Tucker, Judge McKinney's wife Carol McKinney, Marsha Lane, Hillary Tucker, Carolynn Tucker, Jackson Tucker, and Gary and Doris McKinney Lane.

Judge McKinney will serve the remainder of this year and will be the Democratic candidate for Judge Executive in the November 2008 election.
