Obituary: Allene McClendon, 86, member, Columbia Baptist COLUMBIAMAGAZINE.COM OBITUARIES Mrs. McClendon was a member of a highly respected family. She will be remembered for her service in leading businesses from Columbia's past days Allene Willis McClendon, 86, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at 4:18amCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia. The funeral service will be Friday, March 28, 2008, at 2:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. She was the daughter of the late William Edwin and Sally Dohoney Willis. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. McClendon, on November 27, 1989; by her daughter, Ann Willis McClendon, on May 31, 1978; and by her brother, W.E. Willis, on December 14, 1999. She is survived by the following:
Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery. Visitation will be after 12 noon CT, Friday, March 28, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. Expressions of sympathy may be a memorial gift to Columbia Baptist Church or Lindsey Wilson College and may be left at the funeral home. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
