Scenic Adair Co., KY: Site of New Adair County Bed & Breakfast

2008-02-04 - Wilson Road, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
HILL & VALLEY FARM BED & BREAKFAST will open in the Ivy Wilson house on Wilson Road of East KY 80 sometime around March 1, 2008, according to Chris Wilson, who is developing the B&B with his wife, Jill, of Columbia, KY. The farm has been in the Wilson family since they were displaced by the construction of Wolf Creek Dam in the 1940s. It is situated in one of the most picturesque of Russell Creek's scenic creek bottoms. Across the creek, on the western skyline, would be the ridge near the Clyde Hutchison home on the Joppa side of Keen-Wilson Road. The photo was taken from the Simpson Reliford Road hill. Nancy Reeves will be hostess for the new B&B. The large red barn in the foreground will house a gift shop, Wilson said.
