Obituary: Austin Kendrick Booher, 80


Mr. Booher was the head of a large, respected Columbia family

Austin Kendrick Booher, 80, 205 Hurt ST, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 7:27am, at Bowling Green Medical Center.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 2:00pmCT, at Grissom Martin Funeral Home wth Bro. Darrell Karnes, Bro. Lonny Karnes, and Bro. William Karnes officiating. Burial will be in the Columbia Cemetery.

He was a son of the lat Samuel J. and Cornelia Sparks Booher.

He is survived by his wife, a href=>Barbara Booher, Adair Co., KY (1935-2011), Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Samuel Allen and his wife Melinda Booher, and David and his wife Joyce Booher, all of Columbia, KY

  • Two daughters: Sherry Annette and her husband Dwayne Corbin, and Debbie Blevins, all of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: J. Gladston Booher, Missouri

  • Nine grandchildren: Trent, Trevor and Brandon Booher; Leslie Sparks, Ashley Bottoms, Jared Conover, Jessica VanArsdale, and Chasity and Hannah Young

  • Eight great grandchildren: Amber and Isaac Booher, Jayden Sparks, Emma Helm, Madison and Haydon VanArsdale, and Brayden and Caylen Dial
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Booher; a grandson, Jamie Corbin; and three brothers, Talbot, Same Ed, and Love F. Booher; and two sisters, Jewell Norris and Grace Huddleston.

Visitation will be after 2pm, Monday, February 4, 2008, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
