Obituary: Wanda Chessor, 64, member, Columbia Church of God


Mrs. Chessor was a native of Pike County, KY; she was a resident of the Plum Point Community and was member of a large, widespread family

Wanda Chessor, 64, 50 Tessa Loop, the Plum Point Community of Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, January 17, at 7:00amCT, at her home after an illness.The funeral service is Saturday, January 19, 2008, at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Conover the officiating clergy.

She was born the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Hessie Mounts Justice, in Pike County, at Freeburn, KY.She is survived by her husband, Walter Chessor, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Sandra Isenberg and her husband, Dennis, Tompkinsville, KY

  • One son: Eddie Chessor and his wife, Donna, Trinity, NC

  • Seven sisters: Debbie McCoy, Columbia, KY; Bonnie Sue Phillips, West Virginia; Lerly Murphy, Lafayette, TN; Lillie Shively, Iowa; Maggie Renfro, Ohio; Brooksie Spencer, Blackberry, KY; and Peggy Manfredi, Maryland

  • Four grandchildren: Earnie (Keith) Justice, Miranda Isenberg, Cody Dean Chessor, and Hannah Maria Chessor

  • And very special and loved nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She ws preceded in death by four sisters and two half brothers, Brenda Ratliff, Iva Meade, Alice Kay Justice, Beverly Justice, Alvie Gene Blankenship, and Jack Justice.

She was a member of the Columbia Church of God.

The family requests visitation after 4:30pmCT, Friday, January 18, 2008, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.
