Mystery? Was there ever a Saints Church listed for Adair County Genealogy and Local History South Central Kentucky Ed, I am hoping some of your readers might have an answer for this! We received a query for help solving a mystery. Ruby Holland ask if there has been a Saint's Church in Adair County? According to her family research, her grandfather was Mitchel Albertson, born Dec 30, 1859 in Fentress County, TN, died Apr 27, 1933 in Adair County, KY. His death certificate shows he is buried in Bryant Cemetery. According to the 1930 census,it lists his residence as Magisterial District 1 in Adair County and his occupation as Preacher, Saints Church. His wife's name was Rebecca? Does anyone know if this church existed and what was the denomination of this church? Her mother always said her father was a Nazarene preacher. But then she has also heard he was a Methodist Minister and later a Church of God Minister. She is the last of his grandchildren and would love to leave a correct history. According to our records (cemetery) he is buried in the Bryant Cemetery that is located on the Oak Grove Road leading down to the Taylor-Ford Road. It is a side road off 531 and it is near the Old Calvary Church. If anyone has the history of this church and any other information that might be helpful please contact the ladies at the library or myself at lil607@yahoo.com Thanks so much.
