A fatal accident occurred at 9:32am this morning, Wednesday, January 9, 2008, in the Kentucky State Police 15, Columbia, KY, area, 8.5 miles north of Springfield on KY 458 in Washington County.

Paul D. Darland, 23, Springfield, was pronounced dead by the coroner at 10:14amET at the Springview Hospital in Lebanon, KY.




Darland was operating a 2001 Chevy Pickup, traveling west on KY 458, when the vehicle went off the road, the driver overcorrected, the vehicle came back on road, before running off road again, a finally came to a rest after hitting a tree.Kentucky State Police Trooper Nathan Rhodes investigated the crash.
