CJE Ann Melton says Gov. Fletcher has come through every time shes asked

Adair County CJE Ann Melton has released a list of state grants Adair County has received from the state since she took office 10 months and 2 days ago. They are:

Grassy Springs Bridge - $102,260.00
Short Creek Bridge - $78,865.00
Spout Springs Bridge - $75,637.00
Creekbend Road Bridge - $80,720.00
Scott Hill/Neat Hollow - $240,000.00
911 Building - $238,200.00
Road Money - $450,000.00
Road Money - $500.000.00
TOTAL in 10 months, 2007: $1,765,682.00

"Gov. Ernie Fletcher has come through every time I've asked" she said, "that's why I'm asking that these projects be publicized," she said.

The election - pure out and out politics - she said, is the reason she's releasing the numbers at this time. "I want people to know how good Governor Fletcher has been to us," she said. "I want them to know so the Governor will get every possible Adair County vote," she said. Judge Melton said the only feedback she's receiving as she campaigns for the Governor is that everyone is telling her they are voting for her choice. "All the voters I've asked to vote for Governor Fletcher have said the same thing," she said. "They all say they can't understand how anyone in Adair could vote for anyone else after all he's delivered."

"I think he's going to win," she said, "and a big reason is gong to because Adair County is going to return the favor. We're not going to let him down. Our goal is to deliver the best victory margin the Governor gets anywhere in the state," she said.

The outcome will be know in less than 100 hours. Polls close at 6:00pmCT election day Tuesday, November 6, 2007, and the outcome will likely be known within one hour.

Absentee balloting is underway now. A machine is open in the office of Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair in the Adair Annex on Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 8:30am until noon CT, and on Monday from 8:00am until 4:00pm.
