Obituary: Corrine Ballou, 74, member Mt. Carmel UMC

Mrs. Ballou was a member of a prominent Adair Co. family. She was a homemaker and member of the CV Homemakers Club, and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, Campbellsville, KY
Corrine Ballou, 74 of 390 Old Springfield Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Saturday October 6, 2007 at 11:18am at the University Hospital in Louisville, KY after several weeks illness.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at 11:00amCT at Stotts-Phelps- McQueary Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Willis and Dr. Robert Rice the officiating clergy.



She was born November 25, 1932, the daughter of the late Otis and Ora Emily Yarberry Page of Adair County, KY.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Ballou of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Anthony Ballou his wife Anna Lou, of Columbia, KY; and Mark Ballou his wife Stella. Murfreesboro, TN

  • One brother: James Page, Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Dessie Frankum, Fairplay, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Kyle Ballou, Darren Ballou, Delena Jo "DJ" Ballou, and Megan Page Ballou
Mrs. Ballou was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, a member of the Cane Valley Homemakers Club, a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a homemaker.

Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.

The family request visitation after 4:00pm on Monday, October 8, 2007, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.
