Obituary: Larry Lewis McClister, 51

Mr. McClister was a member of a respected south Adair County family and had worked at NAPA, Nissley Equipment, and Oshkosh

Larry Lewis McClister, 51, 252 Pear Tree Lane, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 5:05pm, at the Taylor County Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Ky, after an illness.

The funeral will be Saturday, September 22, 2007, at 11:00amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stoney McKinney and Bro. Jason Lacy the officiating clergy.



He was born January 1, 1956, the son of the late Perry Kalmer "Pete" McClister and Doris Jean Curry McClister of Adair County.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Fudge McClister, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Melena Lacy and her husband Jason, Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Brenda Carpenter, Scottsburg, IN

  • Two grandchildren: Katlyn and Jakeb Lacy

  • His father in law: Marion "Short" Fudge, Sparksville

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Larry McClister attended the Harrods Fork Baptist Church and had worked at NAPA, Nissley Equipment and Oshkosh

The funeral will be Saturday, September 22, 2007, at 11:00amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stony McKinney and Bro. Jason Lacy the officiating clergy.

Interment will be in the McClister Cemetery on KY 704 at Fairplay, KY.

Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Friday, September 21, 2007, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Hospice of Central Kentucky and may be left at the funeral home.
