Fiscal Court taking bids to demolish Old Icehouse

Entirely new building will be constructed at site

The Adair County Fiscal Court is advertising for bids to demolish the Old Columbia Icehouse to make way for the new Adair County Enhanced 911 Center to be built on the North High Street site.

The advertisement carries a deadline for bid submission of 7:00pm, October 9, 2007, which is the time of the regular October meeting of Fiscal Court. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.The winning contractor will have 30 days to clear the lot after fiscal court awards the bid.



The Old Columbia Icehouse is located at 107 North High Street, Columbia.

Advertisement for Bids for the Project Titled: Adair County Enhanced 911 Center Site Demolition & Removal for the Adair Fiscal Court, 424 Public Square, Ste 1, Columbia, KY 42728:

The Adair County Fiscal Court will receive bids for demolition of the above named project on October 9, 2007, at the Adair County Court House Annex, 424 Public Square, Suite 1, Columbia, KY 42728, until 7:00pm cst, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Adair County Enhanced 911 Center Site Demolition & Removal project consists of:

The site is located as follows:

Old Columbia Icehouse
107 North High Street
Columbia, KY 42728

Complete demolition of said building and removal. Upon awarding of bid, demolition should be completed within 30 days.

Bid packages may be picked up at the Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton's Office, 424 Square, Ste 1, Columbia, KY 42728.

The Adair County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Any bid not submitted on the proper form shall not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days subsequent to the opening of bids without consent of the Adair County Fiscal Court.

Bids must be submitted in triplicate. Bids must be submitted in an envelope marked in the lower left corner (BID FOR ENHANCED 911 CENTER). Bids must be mailed or delivered to the following address:Adair County Fiscal Court
