$17,732 turned in at MS Walk; more coming in By Lynda McKinley The Multiple Sclerosis Walk was held Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Columbia Christian Life Center. This year was a huge success and hope that it will continue to grow with each year. There were 8 teams registered and individual walkers with the total amount of money raised and turned in that day of $17,732. We are still collecting money to be turned in, the deadline is September 30, 2007. The teams that attended were: Mike's Team, Egypt Church, Lemonades, Dr. Aaron Medical Center, Heather's Team, Faith Followers, Peggy Jones Team, and the Dream Walkers. There was also a large amount of individual walkers that participated as well. I would like to thank everyone who made this years walk such a huge success. To our Gold Sponsors: First National Bank, Bank of Columbia, McDonalds, and Community Medical Center, Hot Prints; and our Silver Sponsors were: Stotts Phelps McQueary Funeral Home, Arnolds Bike Custom Repair, IMO Industries, United Citizens Bank, Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Thank you for all the volunteers that helped in this years MS Road Block and those who helped at the Walk itself.
