Obituary: William Watson, 82, retired carpenter

Mr. Watson was veteran of World War II

William "Bill" Watson, 82, a resident of Summit Manor Nursing Home, formerly of 410 Sandusky Street, Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007, at 12:15am at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, after a short illness.

The funeral service is Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at 10:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.



He was the son of the late Milton and Mary Lee "Mollie" Reeder Watson of Cundiff, KY.

Mr. Watson was a retired carpenter and was a US Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Watson is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Cameron Watson, Hugh Watson, Carl Watson, and an infant brother, Gertrude Shearer, Bessie Grant , Beatrice Tweedy, and an infant sister.

Interment will be in Columbia Cemetery.

The family requests visiting after 2:30pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.Stotts-Phelps-McQuery Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
