Clinton cyclist injured in collision with car

A Clinton County motorcyclist, George H. Butler, 47, Albany, suffered following a collision with an automobile he tried to pass.

The accident occurred Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 5:16pm, five miles east of Albany on KY 558.

Butler, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated and released for minor injuries at the Clinton County Hospital in Albany, KY.



A 2007 Toyota, operated by Steven Grayer, 24, Albany, was slowing to make a left hand turn when Butler, operating a 2000 Honda motorcycle. attempted to pass him on the left side and the vehicles made contact.

Grayer and a passenger in his car, 19 year old Lauri Holsapple, 19, Albany, were belted and not injured.

George H. Butler, the operator of the motorcycle, was cited to court for DUI 1st offense (aggravating circumstances)The collision is being investigated by Trooper Bradly Stotts, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
